03 / 15 (event) Volunteer poll workers needed in Oakland Start: 9:00 am End: 5:00 pm Body: By Jim Lindsay Election reform activists have a great volunteer opportunity coming up on Sunday March 9th and Saturday March 15th. Gurdwara Sahib Fremont (see next paragraph) is having its biannual board election and has retained Californians for Electoral Reform (CfER) as a neutral outsider to manage the tables during the voting and do the election counting. more info

03 / 20 (event) Marin Ranked Voting March Meeting Start: 7:00 pm End: 9:00 pm Body: NOTE THE CHANGE OF DATE AND LOCATION Marin Ranked Voting's monthly meeting will be held at the Aroma Cafe in downtown San Rafael on Thursday, March 20 at 7:00pm. Everyone interested in better ways of choosing public officials is encouraged to drop by. Beginning in February, we will meet on the third Thursday of most months instead of the third Wednesday. The Aroma Cafe is at 1122 4th Street, between A and B Streets -- next door to the Rafael Theater. more info

03 / 28 (event) Election Advisory Committee March Meeting Start: 9:30 am End: 11:30 am Body: The Marin County Election Advisory Committee meets monthly except January, October and November. The March meeting will be on Friday, March 28 at 9:30am in Room 324A at the Civic Center in San Rafael. The committee serves as a link between the Registrar of Voters and the community.
