DIRECTIONS TO AND PARKING AT THE AGM

Please refer to this overview map [2].

Parking: Some side streets near city hall have unlimited parking, but Caledonia Street and other side streets have a two-hour limit. Please see this detailed map [3].

From Sacramento and the East Bay: follow Interstate 580 across the Richmond-San Rafael bridge. Take the second exit, which is Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, and follow Drake about 1.4 miles to U.S. 101. Stay in the left-hand lane going under the freeway so you can get on southbound 101. Take southbound 101 5.1 miles to the Marin City/Sausalito exit. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left at the traffic light and go under the freeway in either the right or middle lane. Turn right at the traffic light onto Bridgeway, and follow Bridgeway 1.2 miles to a slight right turn onto Caledonia, which then runs parallel to Bridgeway. City Hall is on the right-hand side of Caledonia in the second block, between Bee and Litho Streets. The Edgewater Room opens onto a small park, which is on the Caledonia Street side of the building.

NOTE: MapQuest and Google both give the above driving directions, and can be relied on.

Driving from San Francisco: Take U.S. 101 across the Golden Gate Bridge to the Alexander Avenue exit, which is immediately after the parking area at the north end of the bridge. Follow Alexander about 1.0 mile until the route turns left into South Street, then right onto 2nd Street, then right onto Richardson Street, which turns left into Bridgeway. This sounds complicated but isn't; just follow the traffic. Then stay on Bridgeway for 0.9 mile to Litho Street. Turn left on Litho Street and go one block to Caledonia. City Hall is across Caledonia on the right. The Edgewater Room opens onto a small park, which is on the Caledonia Street side of the building.

NOTE: MapQuest and Google both give different driving directions from San Francisco. Their routes work if you can follow them, but the route described here is easier.

Public transit from San Francisco: Golden Gate Transit route #10 leaves 7th & Market at 11:43am and 12:41pm. The route is McAlister to Webster to Geary to Park Presidio, the last stop being the Golden Gate Bridge toll plaza 18 minutes later. In Sausalito, ask the driver to stop at Turney Street or Napa Street. Caledonia is parallel to the bus route one block to your left. Route #10 buses returning to San Francisco leave at approximately 4:40pm, 5:40pm and 6:40pm. As with bus schedules everywhere, all times are approximate.

The Sausalito ferry leave the ferry terminal at the foot of Market Street at noon and arrives in Sausalito at 12:30pm. City Hall is about 0.6 mile walk from the ferry dock. Ferries returning to San Francisco leave at 5:00pm and 6:20pm.

Wheelchair access: Use the city parking lot on the southwest (uphill) side of City Hall. The wheelchair entrance to the building is signed. Once inside, take the elevator to the bottom floor. The Edgewater Room is a few feet down the hall from the elevator on the left-hand side of the hallway.
