Election Advisory Committee Annual Community Meeting

The Marin County Election Advisory Committee [1] will hold its first annual community meeting on Thursday, June 21 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. The location is is the Board of Supervisors chambers at the Marin Civic Center, 3501 Civic Center Drive, 3rd Floor.

Lowell Finley, Deputy Secretary of State for Voting Systems Certification and Policy, will be the guest speaker. Mr. Finley oversees testing and certification for all voting machine technology in California. He is also an expert on election law.

The Election Advisory Committee was formed in June, 2006 to provide advice and recommendations to the Registrar of Voters on voter participation and election integrity issues as they affect elections in Marin County. Twenty members are appointed by the Registrar from various geographic areas of the county to represent different points of view and interests in the elections process.
